WTC Cancer

9/11 WTC Cancers

The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund provides compensation to responders, downtown office workers, downtown residents, students and other victims suffering cancers due to exposure to the toxic dust and fumes in the months following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Doctors with the World Trade Center Health Program, which the federal government created in the aftermath of the attacks, have linked nearly 70 types of cancer to Ground Zero.

If you or a loved one was at Ground Zero at the WTC and now have been diagnosed with cancer, please call one of our WTC specialists to see if you might be entitled to compensation.

The Victim Compensation Fund & The James Zadroga Act

The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act allocated approximately $4.2 billion to create the World Trade Center Health Program. The act also expanded the Victim Compensation Fund of 2001, allowing 9/11 injury victims to obtain compensation for their injuries. Anyone who was present at the crash sites between September 11, 2001 and May 30, 2002, and suffered physical harm as a direct result of the crash or debris, may file a claim for benefits.

Oshman & Mirisola has extensive experience fighting for the rights of WTC victims.
